Dr Khor Wei Boon is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in Cornea and External Eye Diseases and Refractive Surgery. His current place of full-time practice is with the Singapore Eye & Vision clinic in Paragon Medical. He is also a visiting consultant with the Shinagawa Eye Centre and the Singapore National Eye Centre.
🎓 Education & Advanced Training
Dr. Khor graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) in 2010. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Furthering his specialization, he underwent subspecialty training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at both SNEC and the Duke University Eye Center in North Carolina, USA.

· Senior Consultant in the Cornea and Refractive Surgery services at SNEC
· Clinical Associate Professor in Ophthalmology at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School
· Head of the SNEC Eye Clinic at Sengkang Hospital (2016–2022)
· Director of Clinical Governance and Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee (2023–2024)

Dr. Khor's clinical interests encompass a range of ophthalmic conditions and procedures:
· Cataract Surgery: including suture-less phacoemulsification and various intraocular lens implants, including monofocal, multifocal, toric, and enhanced depth-of-focus (EDOF) lenses.
· Corneal Transplantation: Performing partial-thickness "lamellar transplant" techniques such as DSAEK and DALK to treat corneal diseases.
· Refractive Surgery: Offering procedures like LASIK, SMILE, and TransPRK to correct vision and reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses.
· Management of Corneal Infections and Ocular Allergies: Care of both children and adult patients with infections and allergies

Dr. Khor has published his ophthalmic research in international peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and the American Journal of Ophthalmology (AJO).
