Ahnan’s Back Pain Recovery Journey

Living with Persistent Pain

For nearly a year, fitness trainer and bodybuilding event organizer Ahnan Raj struggled with persistent back and leg pain. The discomfort made even the simplest movements challenging. Standing for long hours became unbearable, and staying active felt impossible.

Impact on Work and Lifestyle

As a former bodybuilder and full-time trainer, Ahnan’s job required him to guide clients, lift heavy weights, and remain on his feet for long periods. However, after an accident, his lower back pain worsened to the point where he could no longer support his clients effectively. Over several months, the pain escalated from mild discomfort to severe agony.

“I had been in the fitness industry for 14 years, but the pain forced me to step back,” he explained. “I thought it would go away, but instead it kept getting worse. Eventually, I was desperate to find a solution because this was affecting both my career and my daily life.”

Exploring Treatment Options

Determined to recover, Ahnan sought medical help and explored minimally invasive treatments. His pain specialist recommended a combination of annuloplasty, nucleoplasty, and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). These targeted procedures helped reduce pressure on the nerves and address the root cause of his pain.

Life After Treatment

The changes were significant. Before treatment, standing for more than an hour left Ahnan in severe pain. Afterward, he estimated that 80% of his pain was gone. This allowed him to train clients again, improve his performance, and even attempt one of his lifelong goals.

“I climbed Mount Kailash,” he said proudly. “It was 18 hours of walking—nine hours up and nine hours down. I could never have imagined doing this before treatment.”

Words of Advice

Ahnan now encourages others not to ignore persistent pain. “Don’t wait like I did,” he shared. “Pain doesn’t always go away on its own. Seek treatment early, because the right care can make a huge difference.” PRIME
