About Dr Daniel Phang
Personal Statement
Dr Daniel Phang achieved his double bachelors (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005 and finished his Anesthesiology training in 2015. In 2017, he obtained the Certification in Pain Sonology (CIPS) with the World Institute of Pain. He is now a qualified Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Physician. Besides his passion in Pain Management and Anesthesiology, he also expresses interest in neuromodulation, regenerative medicine and regional anesthesia. On top of that, Dr Phang held a medical officer position with the Singapore Armed Forces where he was involved in repatriation and field anesthesia.
Professional Life
Dr Phang worked as an Anesthesiologist consultant in Singapore General Hospital (SGH) before shifting to the Singapore Paincare Center. He was a key stakeholder when SengKang General Hospital Pain Management services was being set up. He remains active in the education sector by giving regular lectures on pain management directed to medical staff and general public. He is in particular concerned with ultrasound guided intervention, which he is certain is safer and more cost- effective option for patients.
