About:

Dr Ker Liang is a Consultant Otolaryngologist with over a decade of experience in ear, nose and throat care, as well as head and neck surgery. Moreover, she manages both adult and paediatric ENT conditions. She completed her specialist ENT training, including a laryngology fellowship, and currently leads Aglow ENT Centre. As a result, her practice covers general ENT care, voice and swallowing disorders, and surgical treatment of head and neck conditions.

Education & Professional Training

Dr Ker obtained her medical degree from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. Following this, she completed membership with the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a Master of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology. In addition, she holds ACGME-I accreditation in Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. Furthermore, she completed a laryngology fellowship under Prof Marc Remacle at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg.

Subspecialty Expertise

Dr Ker has subspecialty expertise in laryngology, with a focus on voice and swallowing disorders. She performs microlaryngoscopy and vocal cord procedures. Moreover, she manages common paediatric and adult ENT conditions such as chronic sinusitis, tonsillitis and adenoid or tonsil surgery. In addition, she performs head and neck procedures involving the salivary glands, thyroid and parotid glands. She also treats snoring and sleep-apnoea conditions. Furthermore, she provides diagnostic and endoscopic procedures across ear, nose and throat disorders.

Previously, Dr Ker served as a Consultant in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the National University Health System (NUHS). During this time, she provided outpatient care and performed surgery across several public hospitals. At the same time, she held an academic appointment at NUS, where she was involved in teaching and training junior doctors and ENT residents.

Dr Ker manages many common and complex ENT concerns. These include voice hoarseness, swallowing difficulty and throat conditions. In children, she treats ear infections, enlarged tonsils or adenoids, and snoring. She also manages sinus and nasal problems such as allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. Additionally, she evaluates head and neck lumps, thyroid and salivary gland disorders, as well as sleep-apnoea and snoring in both adults and children.
