Early diagnosis and intervention can prolong the time during which patients can enjoy productive and fulfilling lives. This talk will cover dementia prevalence, risk factors, signs and symptoms, investigations, treatment approaches and prevention tips.

In the last 2 years, there has been increasing interest and focus on diabetes mellitus, commonly known as a condition associated with high blood sugar. But what exactly is diabetes? Is it a simple problem where we just avoid sugar and everything is okay? In this session, we evaluate and discuss what is the underlying problem in diabetes and common misconceptions associated with this condition.

Dr. Seng Kok Han
Sub specializes in Geriatric Psychiatry and was the Chief of the Department of Geriatric Psychiatry, IMH. He actively led the department in initiatives such as dementia-friendly ward renovation and Memory Clinic. He was also the project director of the Aged Psychiatry Community Assessment and Treatment Service (APCATS). He is much sought by the community network and media as public speaker in Dementia and Depression in the Elderly.
Dr. Ng Jen Min
A medical expertise encompass a wide range of endocrinological problems including diabetes mellitus, obesity, thyroid disorders, androgen, reproductive, adrenal and pituitary disease. Dr Ng’s has a special interest in patients with diabetes mellitus particularly in the early stages of glucose intolerance, in patients with Type 1 diabetes and in those who require intensive insulin therapy.
